Winter Wonderland (a week late)

Well, we woke up to 9 inches of snow this morning. Derrel thought all along this holiday break that he started back to school on Jan. 2 and as he was braving the snow down our treacherous driveway, he turned around and thought, "This is NOT worth it." Luckily, he checked again and school doesn't start until tomorrow. We were SOOO happy! We had a fun snow day. Santa brought new sleds this year and we made good use of them today!

This is Kate's first sled ride by herself. She did awesome!!

Looks like you all had a great time.! Maybe Derrel should have asked for a sled of his own, though?

cute pictures! I love seeing kids all bundled up. That is a ton of snow - that is classic how high it is piled up on your swings! Did you see WVU blow out OU? I was sorely tempeted to call you that night.

Are you kidding me? We watched and LOVED that game. It was a fun game to watch. That's how our team should play, we were just stumped by Pitt. UGGG we could have played in the Nat'l Championship. There's always next year!

I love the picture of Derrel's head peeking out of the snow. I didn't even notice he was lying there till second time around!

Lovely Snow Days! They are blessings from heaven. Glad you were able to put your sleds to good use and enjoy a day off to be with your family. The pictures are great and Derrel seems so happy!

Wow--I think I'm all talk when it comes to wanting snow. I forget about the logistics, and add kids and coats and mittens and boots into the picture--I'm exhausted!

Your snow is insane! I'm so glad you got to all play in the snow. School is overrated, anyway. :)
