Finally!

After months of waiting and wishing and hoping and dreaming, I have a special announcement to make to everyone. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

drumroll please. . . . . . . . . . .

My tomatoes are finally turning red. I am SOOOO excited. Aren't they lovely? I don't know if this is normal but my tomato plants are shooting straight up. I feel like Jack and the Beanstalk. One of them is almost as tall as I am. Is that normal?

So our summer has been flying by more quickly than I ever expected. I don't really know if I am ready for Derrel to start school again, but like it or not, it starts in 2 weeks. I also can't believe that in June we hit our 1 year mark for living here. The girls are growing like weeds and Kate is starting to form sentences with all the words she knows. It's really very sweet. Lydia will start pre-school in August and is SOOOOOOOO excited. As for me, I am just trying to stay out of the WICKED heat. We are all doing well. Not much new to say for now.

Oh I guess my little brother, Sam, got married in Denver to a very lovely and sweet girl named Courtney. We were all going to drive out but we would have only stayed less than 48 hours and for 48 hours of driving and 48 hours of visiting, I think our little monkeys would have gone bizurk to say the least. So I sacrificed and took a plane ride (nonstop for extra sacrifice) and went to my brother's wedding. It was WONDERFUL! Here are some pictures:

I tried to grow tomatoes earlier this year. I had to do it in a pot because they won't let us grow anything in the ground because supposedly it was an old firing range here on base. Anyways, the rain knocked over the pot and it broke, so it got replanted and it didn't survive. Alas, I am jealous of your tomatoes!!

You GUESS he got married? Funny. I bet he had a pretty different view of the whole thing! I am obsessed with fresh tomatoes in the summer. I made myself sick with canker sores each summer in UT bc of them. Now I use moderation, sort of. Can't wait to grow my own!

So sweet, love the pictures. I think the tomato's might need more sun. In your picture they look shaded. Tomato's love the sun. But there is nothing wrong with yours. They do look yummy. Mine are making curly leaves :-P Not sure what that means.?
