Der Elizu

Lydia is really into writing on EVERYTHING right now. She writes notes to anyone and everyone she can think of. Sometimes we can't tell what she is writing but she's getting so good at spelling phonetically. I found this note she had written to a friend who recently moved away (interpretation below):

Dear Eliza,
Some day I'll visit you. Are you five or are you six?
I am in kindergarten. Are you in kindergarten or preschool?
The End
Love,
Lydia

Me love take you ice-cream
(The little phrase that goes with the picture on the bottom left).

Oh, that just made me so happy that she wrote a letter to Eliza. What a sweetheart!! And I am totally amazed at how well she is writing! I wish we could get those two together again.

That is so cool! You should get her a journal that she could date and write in each day. We did that for Mal. We had to translate more than a few words each day so we could read it again later. I can't wait to see your kids soon!!!

Keep that note forever! (well, make a photocopy and mail it to Eliza, of course . . .)

KIM!! I vaguely remember that you know the Wirthlin's but how do you know them again!? I think it was at BYU, right? Anyway, your kids are adorable! We miss the East Coast! Enjoy it while you're there! Tell Derrel "HI!"

Lydia is amazing! Your whole family is amazing. You guys are an inspiration to me that the world is in good hands with the rising generations. Tell Lydia we love her (and Kate and Grant too)
